Manly-Warringah’s veteran playmaker Luke Brooks says he would be open to the idea of changes to the first grade side after the Eagles struggled through the pre-season trials with Brooks and new recruit Jamal Fogarty unable to connect.
There have already been calls to promote boom rookie Joe Walsh into the 17.
“We got a reality check of where we are [in the trials],” Brooks told The Daily Telegraph.
“It’s not the worst case, there are some things we can work on and build into round one.”
Manly host the Canberra Raiders in round one at 4 Pines Park.
