Retired premiership-winner and podcaster Chad Townsend has cleared the air after fainting on a flight to Las Vegas for the round one double header.
The former Sharks playmaker had earlier come under fire from some on social media for leaving his coaching duties with the Sharks in SG Ball behind to take the trip the USA.
“Hey guys, on the plane today I started to feel lightheaded and nauseous, I then started to get hot and cold flushes followed by constant sweating,” Townsend posted.
“I got up to go to the toilet and then fainted.
“The whole ordeal was a little scary, but I just wanted to let everyone know I am feeling fine now and looking forward to Round 1 here in Vegas!”
