Segeyaro wants an NRL return after stint in Leeds

Former Penrith Panther James Segeyaro wants to return to the NRL but not before a stint in the English Super League with Leeds.

The dummy half was traded for English Man of Steel Zak Hardaker.

“I want to get back to that form that I believe I can get back to and hopefully come back to the NRL,” Segeyaro told Channel Nine.

“I have never been in this situation before, a club never wanting me. I was shocked to be in reserve grade – they said it was best for me if I leave the club.

“We were trying to find different clubs (in the NRL). But everyone else has three or four hookers.”

Segeyaro also commented on the infamous photo which may got him sacked where he was snapped dining with criminals.

“It was a photo, nothing more, nothing less. I think it was taken out of context.”
