New South Wales coach Laurie Daley has revealed he advises New Zealand Warriors coach Andrew McFadden whenever he can but only when McFadden asks.
McFadden is favourite to be first coach sacked in 2016 after the Warriors lost their tenth straight match losing to Brisbane last Friday 25-10.
It also comes off the back of a first half hiding from Wests Tigers the week before.
“I speak to him — text him — that type of stuff,” Daley told foxsports.com.au.
“In terms of footy that his domain — if there’s something he wants to know just to bounce off me.
“It’s not a heavy relationship just through being friends — help if he needs it — he doesn’t need help at the moment he just needs support.
“Just outside the environment I can give a view from what it looks like from the outside.
“I’m confident they’ll have a good season and he’ll do a good job. They just got to give him time.”
