Boulos distances himself from Sharp as Parramatta prepares for decision

Parramatta Chief John Boulos has distanced himself from Chairman Steve Sharp’s threat to the NRL that the club would take legal action if Rugby League Central docked them competition points for their handling of Anthony Watmough’s contract and potential third-party breaches.

“If it does and we don’t think it will come to that we’d fight (it to the) Supreme Court,” Sharp told News Corp.

“Obviously I’m a Parramatta man and love the club.

“But starting on minus-four points … I just don’t think the game needs that sort of drama.”

Boulos however was quick to steer himself far from Sharp’s comments.

“I’m not really speaking about that,” Boulos told AAP.

“As far as I am concerned we are working very closely with the NRL and I am very confident that we are going to work very hard to ensure that it doesn’t come to something like that.”
