Parramatta Chairman Steve Sharp says the independent review into 2014 salary cap dealings should be completed by the end of February with the Eels and NRL at loggerheads over almost $500,000 in fines.

“Just a short note on recent media speculation regarding the NRL Governance review” Sharp wrote on parraeels.com.au.

“I want to assure members and supporters that we are hopeful that the process will be completed without any impact on competition points.

“There are a handful of recommendations about which we are currently in discussions with the NRL, but I believe these will be resolved by the end of February.”
