ANDREW MCFADDEN

3 GAMES

Before becoming coach of the New Zealand Warriors, Andrew McFadden was a talented half who never really reached his potential. After debuting at Canberra and then moving to Parramatta, McFadden played three games for Melbourne over two seasons.

 

 

PAUL WHATUIRA

6 GAMES

The Kiwi centre would eventually make his name at Penrith and the Wests Tigers. Prior to that he had short stints at the Warriors and the Storm.

 

 

WILLIE LEYSHON

22 GAMES

A talented forward, Leyshon was dogged by injuries at North Sydney in the mid 1990’s. Leyshon spent 2002 at the Storm playing 22 games.

 

 

CHASE STANLEY

8 GAMES

Another cruelled by injury, Stanley spent two years at the Storm but could only manage 8 games.

 

 

JAMES MALONEY

4 GAMES

The premiership-winning five-eight would appear in a grand final for the Warriors and then win won at the Roosters but the Orange-native actually debuted at Melbourne.

 

 

JAMIE FEENEY

20 GAMES

A likeable second rower from the bush, Feeney was a mainstay of Canterbury’s pack in the early 2000’s but also managed 20 games for the Storm in 2005 and 2006.

 

 

JOE TOMANE

18 GAMES

On his way to the Rugby World Cup with the Wallabies but prior to that, seven long years ago, Tomane made his debut for the Storm.

 

 

WAIRANGI KOOPU

12 GAMES

Played in a grand final with the Warriors in 2002 before finishing his career in 2009 in the Victorian capital.

 

 

JOHN LOMAX

3 GAMES

We didn’t know old Johnny was a union man? The Canberra legend played three games for the Storm in season 2000.
