“Shouldn’t be comfortable with your position: Bulldogs captain Stephen Crichton calls out teammates

Canterbury-Bankstown captain Stephen Crichton has put his side on notice after a thumping 32-12 loss to the Sydney Roosters on the weekend.

The Bulldogs are now 3rd on the table after having one hand on the minor premiership earlier in the season.

“You shouldn’t be comfortable with your position.. regardless of if you’re in the starting team or not,” Crichton told a media scrum on Tuesday.

“There are a lot of good players in our squad, so if you can’t do the job, we’ve got a lot of NSW Cup boys knocking on the door.”

The Dogs head to Melbourne for a Friday night blockbuster against the Storm.

Melbourne downed four-time champions Penrith last round in a golden point thriller.
