Brisbane Broncos superstar Katoni Staggs is set to miss the World Cup due to injury and won’t appear for the Tongans in a few weeks when the tournament begins in England.
The centre not been named in Tonga’s squad which includes big names such as Siosifa Talakai, Addin Fonua-Blake, Keaon Koloamatangi, Jason Taumalolo and Felise Kaufusi.
Tonga play Papua New Guinea, Wales and Cook Islands in the pool stage.
