Upwards of eleven St George Illawarra players will reportedly be tapped on the shoulder and told to find a job elsewhere as the team’s nightmare losing streak continues.
According to the Wide World of Sports’ Tony Adams, AKA ‘The Mole’, sources within the organisation have their hands tied regarding their 2026 roster.
“There’s no doubt the roster is one of our main problems,” they said.
“We can’t do much about it now but we certainly can for 2027.”
Players reportedly on the chopping block include Damien Cook, Jaydn Su’A, Luciano Leilua and Tyrell Sloan.
The Dragons under coach Shane Flanagan have not won a game since August last season.
Despite fans demanding mass changes to the team after ugly scenes at Kogarah Saturday night – the coach has deferred back to main squad he has used throughout the start the season despite looking far off the pace and dead last in 17th position.
The Dragons are $2.90 outsiders with the bookies against 12th placed Manly when they clash at Wollongong on Friday night.
