“Zero game”: Journalist Tiffany Salmond fires a shot at NRL players blowing up her inbox with “bizarrely”, “sexually charged” videos

Outspoken freelance rugby league journalist Tiffany Salmond has taken to Instagram, firing a shot at current NRL players for sliding into her DM’s with “no context”, “sexually charged” videos.

Speaking to her 45,000 followers, the Kiwi didn’t hold back – even taking a shot at all “professional athletes”.

Salmon said she had only ever received sexualized videos from NRL players.

“It’ll be on TikTok and they will send me a video to my DMs with no context, no message, no “hey”, nothing and it’s always, like very bizarrely, like, sexually charged videos or, like, over the top, “I’m attracted to you” type videos,” Salmon says.

“The weirdest, okay this one I just stared at my phone for a couple of minutes and, just, disbelief at what was going on here. The sound was like really explicit, like, moaning.”

Salmon, who is now based in Sydney, has been outspoken about her lack of work in the industry and believes she has been unfairly blacklisted.

Later in the Stories post, Salmon speculated she could have been the first high profile female to “humble” NRL players for their “weird behaviour”.

“But what it’s really made me realise is that NRL players or probably, even professional athletes in general, have no game.

“Zero game.

“Because all they need to do is look in someone’s direction and people are falling all over them. Women are falling all over them. So they’ve never really had to try that hard which means they’ve never really had to flex that flirting muscle and learn how to get better at it.

“I do take pride in being maybe the first, or one of the very few women who humble them and let them know that this doesn’t work.

“This is kind of weird behaviour.

Salmon then finished by expelling rumours she was actively sleeping with current NRL players.
