The New Zealand Warriors don’t want a home semi-final moved to Eden Park – that’s the message from superstar halfback Shaun Johnson and coach Andrew Webster amid reports the NRL was considering shifting the potential fixture away the side’s spiritual home at Mount Smart.

“Mt Smart – it’s a great place – it’s our home,” Webster said.

“I’m not a politics guy, I’ll play wherever they tell us to play.

“I’ve got a preference. Mt Smart is unbelievable, we love the place, the players love it, the fans love it.

“If we went to Eden Park, the only good thing I’d say about that is more New Zealand fans would get to watch us live.

“There’s always a positive.”
