Canberra forward Hudson Young is on the verge of a sudden death semi-final against Parramatta and on the verge of a spot in the Kangaroos squad at the end-of-year World Cup – but Hudson puts it all down to his five-eighth Jack Wighton.
“Jack Wighton, he’s an international, he’s won Dally Ms and he’s done everything in the game you can achieve,” Young told SEN Sydney.
“I think playing next to him helps me massively. When I go to him with weird ideas he shuts me down pretty fast, he keeps me working hard. I watch a heap of footy so I’ll see teams play with different shapes and I’ll come to him with an idea, he’ll either look at me and say shut up or go away, but sometimes we do it.”
