‘This is their first grand final since 2009’: Penrith’s Brian To’o ready for Eels but says it’s ‘just another game’

The quietly-spoken, tank-sized Penrith Panthers winger Brian To’o is headed toward a third a consecutive grand final appearance on Sunday but is respectful of their opponents from the other side of the M7.

To’o played in the 2020 decider, in a losing side, against the Melbourne Storm and faced South Sydney in Brisbane last season.

A local derby grand final at Homebush will be a different beast.

“They (Parramatta) will definitely be looking to come play hard,” To’o told the westernweekeneder.com.au.

“I know this is their first Grand Final since 2009 but I know that they’ll be coming hard and be ready to play a big game against us. Anything can happen on game day, I guess. But it just feels like another game and it’s something I’m really looking forward to.

“I’m really happy, excited and nervous at the same time.”
