I want a sky blue jersey in 2017: Mitchell Moses

Young Wests Tigers five-eigth Mitchell Moses says he wants to play for New South Wales in 2017.

Moses stepped up at the backend of this year in the absence of halves partner Luke Brooks, almost getting the club to an unexpected finals birth.

Moses, Brooks, James Tedesco and Aaron Woods are all off-contract at the end of next season but Moses is more worried about playing good football.

Speaking at a NSW Blues clinic run by legends like Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler, Moses says he wants to give selectors no choice but to select him.

“I grew up watching those players and looked up to them, especially Freddy and Joey,” Moses said.

“To be coached by them is exciting.

“It’s always good to be noticed and doing these kinds of things and it’s a pathway for the players that they think can lead NSW into the future.

“I’d love to play (Origin) next year, that’s definitely my goal in what I want to do and the next rep side I want to make.

“It’s up to the coaches really. If I keep playing the kind of footy I was playing last season, I’ll just leave it up to the selectors.”
