Ben Barba’s manager Chris Orr says his client’s time in a Thailand rehab centre is about more than just testing positive for cocaine.
The 2012 Dally M winner was released by Cronulla on Tuesday after failing a drug test after the Sharks grand final win.
“Stepping away from the game is a chance for Ben to work on his personal issues and become the best Ben Barba he can be,” Orr told News Corp.
“This is not just about failing a drug test. There are other things he needs to work on and that’s his entire life. This is a holistic approach.”
