Sydney Roosters’ ‘Garbo Man’ prop Eloni Vunakece has admitted he isn’t looking for a full-time NRL contract and would prefer to keep his job picking up rubbish for Leichhardt Council.
“It’s everyone’s dream to secure a big long-term contract but not for me,” Vunakece told foxsports.com.au.
“The situation I’m in at the moment works for me.
“I can sit on my council job I have for 10-30 years. If I can stay doing what I’m doing, I’d be happy with that.
“I’m in a different situation to a young up and coming player.
“I’ve worked fulltime and played footy since I was 18, it’s all I know.”
