Penrith Panthers coach Anthony Griffin says captain Matt Moylan will return to the team either this week or the next and has confirmed it will be in his customary fullback role.
There had been speculation Moylan would return in the halves but Griffin told The Daily Telegraph that wouldn’t be the case.
“At the moment he will just go back to fullback,” Griffin said.
“He hasn’t played at all this year.
“He played half a trial or whatever, he just needs to get some footy under his belt.”
Griffin was also impressed by debutant playmaker Te Maire Martin who kicked the winning field goal against Griffin’s former club Brisbane last Saturday.
“He was solid,” he added.
“He defended well and he didn’t have an error in him, which you want to see good kids do when they debut.
“It was a high quality game. He played up to the standard which is good.”
