Dugan says ‘gun’ Tedesco is ready for State of Origin

In-form Wests Tigers custodian James Tedesco has received the stamp of approval from an unlikely source – the man he’s trying to oust as New South Wales Blues fullback Josh Dugan.

Tedesco has been one of the form players of the NRL to start the season and Dugan, who can play wing or centre, believes the Wests fullback is ready for the Origin arena.

“I don’t see why he wouldn’t be ready for Origin. He has definitely put his name forward,” Dugan said.

“He’s a gun,” Dugan said.

“He’s playing some great footy and he’s kicked on where he left off last year.

“He’s one of the players of the future. I’m unsure what `Loz’ [coach Laurie Daley] is going to do through so it’s up to him.”
