Rising Wests Tigers half Luke Brooks says the Tigers are getting the Sydney Roosters at the worst possible time with Mitchell Pearce and James Maloney coming into form at the right time for the tricolours.

“They’re going to be keen to stake their claim for the State of Origin team,” Brookst told nrl.com.

“They’re coming into form at the right time of year [in terms of] their personal games.

“Maloney, he was man of the match in City Country, he’s playing well and I think it will be good for them with their combinations. If they can keep playing well you never know they might get picked [for NSW].”

The Tigers play the Roosters on Friday night at Allianz Stadium.
