Embattled Manly coach Geoff Toovey was back on Fox Sports’ NRL 360 last night toughing it out like he always has.
Despite losing superstar halves pairing Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans for 2016, Toovey surprised many when asked which one NRL player would he like to bring to his club.
“I’d take Jesse Bromwich, he is going real well. He would give our side some size and speed around the ruck area,” Toovey told Ben Ikin and Paul Kent.
Toovey was also asked for his opinion on the concussion debate which rages on.
“I think it’s got to be a team doctor,” Toovey said.
“An independent doctor will always err on the side of caution. The club doctor will always look after the player. If he is confident he can proceed in the game he will play on.”
