Brisbane Broncos legend Petero Civoneciva says the ongoing circus relating to coach Wayne Bennett is hurting the Broncos heading into the finals but believes his former side can cause an upset tomorrow night against South Sydney.

According to Civoneciva, South Sydney’s blockbuster clash last weekend against the Sydney Roosters will take its toll against the Bunnies.

“The off-field drama at the Broncos is taking the focus off the footy at a time when they should be making a strong push towards the finals,” Civoneciva told NRL.com.

“The Rabbitohs are more stable but I think last week’s huge game against the Roosters may have taken some juice out of them so I’ll take the Broncos at home.”

Souths are set to debut another rookie tomorrow night in Mawene Hiroti.
