Aaron Woods and Bulldogs ready for clash with Andrew ‘Chicken Legs’ Fifita

Canterbury bookend Aaron Woods has taken a tongue-in-cheek shot at former representative teammate Andrew Fififa ahead of the Bulldogs showdown with Cronulla at Shark Park.

Speaking on the Big Sports Breakfast, Woods made special mention of Fifita’s ‘skinny legs’ before praising the Tongan World Cup hero’s impressive 80 minute display last weekend.

“You look at his body and you go ‘how can a bloke do that?’. He’s got the skinny legs (but) they just go that quick and he’s got the massive upper body and the big frame,” Woods said.

“Just the way he does things on the footy field and some of the things he does, wingers can’t even do.”

Cronulla skipper Paul Gallen has been missing in recent weeks but you wouldn’t notice it the way Fifita has stepped up and Woods agrees.

“I think his form (Fifita) has gone through the roof since he’s become captain.”

It’s an intriguing battle up front with many believing Woods’ State of Origin days are numbered while Fifita is out of Blues contention.

Another big performance from Woods’ front-row partner-in-crime David Klemmer would almost certainly see him given another chance in the Sky Blue.
