Adelaide will host its first ever State of Origin contest in 2020 with NRL.com reporting a deal had been done between League Central and the South Australian government.

The historic clash at Adelaide Oval will either be Game I or Game II of the series.

It will follow Perth Stadium hosting Origin in 2019.

Origin also returns to the Melbourne Cricket Ground for Game I this year.
