Fijian captain Kevin Naiqama had nothing but praise for superstar playmaker Jarryd Hayne ahead of their huge semi-final at Suncorp Stadium.
Some say Hayne’s move back to Parramatta in the NRL is already a done deal but Naiqama says Hayne hasn’t let the ongoing saga of whether he will leave the Gold Coast affect his time with the Bati.
“His faith has grown leaps and bounds since he joined the team and he has been openly sharing it,” Naiqama said.
“He is a great team player, he is really just focused on doing the best for his team and he had a burning desire for Fiji and he grabbed the opportunity to do so in this Rugby League World Cup.”
Meanwhile, our own Curtis Woodward could come back in the next life as the one and only Nostradamus after predicting an Australia versus Tonga Final which will happen if they win their semi’s this weekend.
Here is his tweet from October 3:
If Tonga beat NZ in group stage and go 3-0, NZ will play Oz in Bris semi. Tonga could play Eng in Auckland semi. Oz v Tonga Final #RLWC2017
