Could the legendary Andrew Johns be the next coach of New South Wales?

New South Wales Blues legend and rugby league Immortal Andrew Johns has blasted the Blues after their Game III loss saying this current squad doesn’t understand State of Origin.

The Blues looked lethargic and couldn’t compete with a Queensland team hellbent on sending their champions out with a victory.

“I feel sick at the moment,” Johns said on Channel Nine post-match.

“It’s just so hard to watch.

“You’ve got to applaud Queensland. but I still don’t think NSW get it.

They just really don’t get it.

“There were times there when the ball was thrown back inside, and we just switched off. And you think ‘well the ball goes past me, my job’s done’.

“It’s not about set plays or fancy plays, Cooper Cronk spoke about will and desire.

“I looked at the teams before the game, and I think NSW on paper had a much stronger team.

“The game isn’t played on paper.”

Johns was also pressed on whether he would consider taking over the coaching role from Laurie Daley with the great halfback refusing to rule out the move.
