The rugby league community came together on Tuesday morning to mourn the passing of former Sydney Roosters and Parramatta Eels forward Chad Robinson at his former high school, Parramatta Marist in Westmead.
In a moving moment, his two children penned a letter to their father who tragically took his life at the end of 2016.
“Words cannot express how broken-hearted we are that you were taken so early from us but we know you are at peace and resting easy now,” the pair wrote in a letter printed in the order of service.
“Until we see you again, know that we adore you, Daddy. Forever loving you.”

Former teammate Mark Riddell remembered the toughness of the second rower.
“I remember they’d always put him in the middle to stiffen up our defence or on an edge to protect one of our playmakers,” Riddell told The Daily Telegraph.
“Chad was just one of those blokes that got picked every week and just did his job for the boys without any fuss.”
