Cronulla’s veteran rake Michael Ennis has targeted the 2016 Grand Final as a reasonable goal for the Sharks after going down to eventual premiers North Queensland in the 2015 Finals.
The Sharks have recruited well and there are huge expectations on the Shire club this season.
“I’ve seen it at a few different clubs where you go through phases,” Ennis told foxsports.com.au.
“You start to get that completion where you really get a sense of what the coach wants as his roster.
“I thought we had a really good side at Cronulla last year and on the back of our success last year Shane (Flanagan) obviously saw a few key areas where he needed to make some adjustments.
“I don’t want to add weight of expectation to us but I feel we have a more than capable side to be competitive and go beyond where we did last year.”
