Arguably the most destructive young forward in the game has shown the loyalty his club was hoping for with Jason Taumalolo re-signing with the North Queensland Cowboys until the end of the 2017 season.
Cowboys GM Peter Parr was ecstatic to keep the young tyro at the club.
“We know Jason has an incredibly bright future in the game and we’re delighted that future will be with the Cowboys,” Parr said.
“Jason enjoys being part of our tight-knit club and we believe his presence in our lineup will help us achieve some big things.
“Jason is still only a young man and has plenty of development left in his game.”
In 2014, Taumalolo averaged 143 metres a game with a whopping 77 tackle busts.
