Code-hopping star Zac Lomax has signed with the PNG Chiefs and is the club’s fifth signing.
Lomax will complete his contract with Western Force Super Rugby team before joining the Port Moresby-based club for the inaugural season in 2028.
“I did not think that it (return to NRL) would be so soon, but life changes and circumstances do and it is all for the better,” Lomax said.
“For me everything comes for a reason and you go with your heart and gut.
“I am all in and it is obviously in 2028 so with regards to rugby I am still there [Force] for another year and really looking forward to finish the best I can and compete to the best I can.”
Lomax famously left St George Illawarra early to join Parramatta, only to quit the Eels, in an attempt to join a Champions League-type rugby union competition that didn’t get off the ground.
