Brisbane Broncos superstar Reece Walsh has defended the reigning premiers who are currently languishing in 12th position after five-straight losses.
The latest came against the last-placed St George Illawarra on Sunday at Suncorp Stadium.
St George Illawarra had not won a game since August 9th, 2025.
“Obviously we are going through a tough patch at the Broncos but one thing I can’t stress enough is we are all working hard,” Walsh told media after being selected to return for the Maroons in State of Origin, Game II at the MCG.
“It’s not like we are taking the piss and not turning up and not putting in the work.
“We are putting in the work at clubland, we are working hard.
“But we’re just not getting the results at the moment.
“We just have to keep turning up with the right attitude, keep going after it, and hope it will start to turn soon.”
