Cronulla Sharks cult hero Toby Rudolf has confirmed he’ll miss the team’s trip to Las Vegas but is targeting a return in round two when the Sharks clash with North Queensland in Townsville.
The prop-forward injured his shoulder in the side’s semi-final loss to the Panthers and reinjured it in the off-season.
“It’s never nice to not have full use of your body, but it’s getting better each week and I’ve got my eye on returning in round two at the very earliest, but that would be cutting it very fine,” Rudolf told NewsWire.
“If not, it should be all stations ahead for round four. If that’s the case, missing the first four weeks of the year isn’t too bad.”
The Sharks face four-time champions Penrith on Sunday March 2.
