Legendary fullback Billy Slater believes fellow custodian-turned-centre Roger Tuivasa-Sheck can add another dimension to the Warriors as they look to take another step toward a maiden premiership in 2024.
RTS has returned from rugby union but Slater says the Kiwi International will be just as dangerous in his new position.
“I watched him closely and he’s the number one player that I’m looking forward to watching this year,” Slater said on his own podcast on the Wide World of Sports.
“Only five years ago he was the best player in our game [and] won the Dally M Medal before a little stint away from the game in rugby union.
“He comes back and he’s playing a different position, from what I’ve seen from the trials, he is going to really excel.
“I think he’ll be a top line centre in our game within a short period of time.”
