Warrington Super League CEO Roger Draper says he is still hoping of nabbing troubled Parramatta half Chris Sandow prior to this Friday’s signing deadline.
“Obviously we’re interested in Chris, but there’s a lot to sort out down there. We’re awaiting news on a daily basis as to what the situation is,’’ Draper told The Daily Telegraph.
“We’re always looking for world-class players, sometimes these things come off, sometimes they don’t, and we’ll see how this one plays out.
“The ball is in Chris’s court. Hopefully all those issues can be resolved with Parramatta, and we can then have another discussion before the Super League deadline on Friday. We’ll take it one day at a time and see what plays out.’’
Parramatta have reportedly offered Sandow a portion of his outstanding contract.
