Rugby Boss Joins Inglis Chase; Source Says Manager is Playing Us All

The frenzy surrounding Greg Inglis’ next career move continues with Queensland Rugby Union Chief Executive Jim Carmichael throwing his support behind a move to get Inglis across to Australian rugby, Fairfax Media reports.

“I’d like to think so. And that’s not to denigrate the players we’ve got. But I’d like to think that we are a mature enough industry – and we know how competitive we’ve got to be – that we want the best talent to play in our game, particularly out of that game because the transition is not so difficult,” Carmichael said.

“But I would think so, would be my response. I’m not saying they (the ARU) are but I would like to think that’s something they are thinking about.”

A source close to the South Sydney Rabbitohs has told The81stMinute.Com that the ongoing circus is all the doing of one man.

“Greg Inglis is a rugby league boy and to see him leave this game would be an outrage. His manager [Allan Gainey] is playing this beautifully.”
