Wests Tigers legend Brett Hodgson has been punted just months into his new role as defensive coach of the English Rugby Union side.

Hodgson, who won a premiership with Wests Tigers in 2005 and debuted for Western Suburbs back in 1997, was hired by Eddie Jones who has since been dismissed from his role as head coach of the English side.

The Campbelltown junior in Sydney’s South West was hired by Jones after finishing his role as head coach of Hull FC in the Super League at the end of the 2022 season.

It’s been reported he has been replaced by English rugby league legend Kevin Sinfield.
