Former Shark Brett Kimmorley has warned his old club that poor starts will eventually beat them in the long run. Kimmorley, also a former Eagle, praised five-eight Kieran Foran.

“Obviously with Kieran Foran’s future resolved he can just concentrate on playing footy and that should ensure that he puts in excellent performances more often than not” Kimmorley wrote for Foxsports.com.au.

“Paul Gallen and Mick Ennis are two of Cronulla’s biggest assets and they were obviously sorely missed by the Sharks.

“They didn’t really get in the game. They made too many errors and with their grinding style of football that’s just not on if they want to get the win.

“They can’t rely on playing catch up football every week to get their wins because it catches up with you in the end.”
