The Cronulla Sharks proved the Cowboys are human after all, ending their eleven game streak last Saturday night.

And Cowboys prop James Tamou says North Queensland let their guard down against the dogged Sharks.

“We spoke about an 80 minute game of footy but it didn’t come off,” he said.

“I suppose there was a bit of complacency there when they scored that first try in the first five minutes of the second half.

“We knew we had better pull our fingers out but by then it was too late.

“They just got more of a roll on and we looked a bit flat footed and couldn’t recover.”
