Former New South Wales captain Ray Price has labelled Queensland’s efforts in the 2021 State of Origin series thus far as “pathetic” and can’t see the Maroons getting close to the Blues in tonight’s dead rubber on the Gold Coast.
Speaking to The Gold Coast Bulletin, the legendary lock who has recently overcome another battle with cancer, said the Maroons haven’t competed for the full 80 minutes in either clash.
“I can’t see how Queensland can do anything. Have a look at the scores, have a look at the football played in those two games. They were pathetic,” he said.
“You just have to keep fighting and I believe that is what they have not done in their games. They have not kept fighting. There is no easy way out if you want to achieve things.
“You have to do it the hard way.”
