Banned former Cronulla Sharks coach Shane Flanagan has revealed that he has written an apology letter to NRL CEO Todd Greenberg in an attempt to begin coach again.

Speaking to Macquarie Sports Radio, Flanagan says the NRL and the ARL Commission will read the letter this week and he had his fingers crossed for a good outcome.

“I hope so,” Flanagan said of his willingness to return to coaching.

“I’ve wrote a letter to Todd and the commission and that’ll be presented this week.

“Hopefully that all goes well and I can get back to doing what I love, which is coaching in the NRL.”
