Rugby league’s expansion into New York City is one step closer to reality after the RFL confirmed the NYC consortium would now present their planning to European clubs where they will compete in the future.

“…the Board recognises the importance of further expansion having the support of the other clubs.

“Accordingly, the Board has asked each of the consortia to present to, and take questions from, the existing Betfred Championship and League One clubs, after which the RFL will gauge support.”

The Brooklyn Kings club side already plays in the USARL.
