Dally M winner and former San Francisco 49er Jarryd Hayne could end his glittering career in the big red V.
Hayne is set to meet with St George Illawarra officials according to a report NRL.com.
The Parramatta legend is not currently under contract and didn’t return to Eels training last week.
Dragons officials have reportedly spoken to Hayne over the phone.
“Hayne isn’t satisfied with what the Eels are willing to offer him to remain next year, with Parramatta waiting on the movement of other players (including a potential move from Michael Jennings to Newcastle) before they are able to commit to any more,” Michael Chammas’ story reads.
The Dragons have limited roster depth out wide after the departures of Nene McDonald and Jason Nightingale.
Hayne’s ability to play anywhere in the back line can’t hurt his chances of landing in Wollongong.
