Returning Wests Tigers star Adam Doueihi wants things to go back to the way they were after spending eight weeks on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
The halfback suffered the injury scoring an early try against Cronulla at Shark Park before coming from the field.
At that point, Wests Tigers were flying to start season 2026.
“It’s hard having a lot of injuries in the past few months,” Doueihi told the media.
“To see how well we started the season with our full team on the field is the bright side….
“We’re starting to get some of our players back.
“I just want to form those combinations again [and] put our footy on and see where it takes us.”
Wests Tigers play the Knights in Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors will start outsiders against the Novocastrians but an upset would then set them up for a trip to Kogarah to play wooden spoon-favourites St George Illawarra.
Back-to-back victories would set up a Friday night blockbuster at Campbelltown against the Warriors.
Meanwhile Manly-Warringah speedster Jason Saab has been cleared to play for Lebanon at the World Cup by the IRL.
