“They pantsed us”: Reece Walsh and Broncos have not forgotten what Green Machine did to them six long months ago

Brisbane Broncos superstar Reece Walsh has not forgotten what eventual minor premiers Canberra did to them all the way back in March at Bruce Stadium.

In round two, the more highly fancied Broncos travelled to the nation’s capital to face the young and unknown Raiders.

The Raiders won 32-22.

Now Walsh will go one-on-one with rising youngster Kaeo Weekes.

“I’m still thinking about that game in Round two where they pantsed us,” Walsh told sen.com.au.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for those boys.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenge [against Weekes] and I’m so excited.”

The winner of Sunday’s blockbuster will go straight through to a home preliminary final.
