Parramatta Eels winger Bailey Simonsson has reportedly requested an immediate release from his contract.
It has been suggested Simonsson is no longer in coach Jason Ryles’ long-term plans and has missed NRL selection several times in 2025.
The flyer was left out of Parramatta’s squad again for the upcoming round of footy.
“That for me is very puzzling because Bailey has been one of the key signings we’ve had for the last couple of years,” Eels legend Tim Mannah said on Fox Sports.
“He’s always done a job for us, so I don’t know what the story is there.
“But I’m a huge fan of Bailey’s as well and I think he’s got the right to be in the team.”
