Brisbane Broncos and Queensland legend Corey Parker has ripped into his former club after letting two premiership points go against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on the weekend.
The Broncos led by 14 points at half-time but were run down by the Latrell Mitchell-led Bunnies.
“I have no doubt in my mind that the Broncos always feel like they have to win by 30 points,” Parker said on SENQ.
“They feel like they sometimes need to win by 40 to make it comprehensive.
“A win is a win no matter how you do it and when you play in the NRL across the season… you have to win in all different ways.
“The conditions in Sydney on Friday night were diabolical.
“It was awful. Zero crowd, rubbish surface and it was wet and slippery.
“They were up 14-0 and if they then went on to win 14-0, it’s two competition points.
“You bag them and you move forward.
“That’s where their mindset needed to shift to.
“Bite down on the mouthguards, kick to the corners and make it a boring contest.
“Ask South Sydney to throw a few risks.”
