Rugby league fans in Sydney’s South West, Camden, Liverpool, Wollondilly and down to the Southern Highlands have voted again in the second annual Macarthur Rugby League Wrap survey.

In last year’s survey, just 3.2% of locals thought Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe was doing a good job.

The same question was asked of new CEO Shane Richardson this year with 45% saying he was doing a “good job” while 35% were “indifferent”.

It was a fairly similar result from last year to this year, regarding the question: “Would you like to see more Wests Tigers players and aspiring local stars staying and living in the region?”

It appears that Wests Tigers and rugby league supporters in the area haven’t changed their opinions much since the first survey regarding perceptions of the organisation.

Last year, 64.5% agreed and 12.9% somewhat agreed that “Wests Tigers is perceived in media and by rival fans as an Inner West / “Balmain” club.”

“It’s never before, never again… again”: How many more grand finals do the Panthers need to win in the modern era for them to surpass the 11-straight Dragons?

In 2024, a combined 75% agreed or somewhat agreed on the same question.
