Manly Sea Eagles skipper Daly Cherry-Evans is happy to see Canterbury back playing finals footy but is confident is side can repeat their 34-22 win over the Bulldogs at Accor Stadium just a few short weeks ago.
On that night, over 30 000 fans showed up at Homebush and Cherry-Evans is expecting an even bigger crowd this Sunday afternoon in their elimination final.
“That actually was really, really good for us,” Cherry-Evans told NRL.com.
“It was nice to get a taste of what that environment feels like.
“It’s great for our younger fellows and you know what, it’s actually really good for our game when the Dogs are in the finals, I think we can all agree.
“We obviously want to go out there and beat them this weekend, but there is just a different feeling when the Bulldogs are in the finals. It adds an extra element to it all.”
More than 50 000 fans are expected for the week one playoffs clash on Sunday.
