Billy Slater’s Maroons don’t care if they play Dylan Edwards or James Tedesco

Queensland coach Billy Slater says his Maroons have no issue whether the Blues play Dylan Edwards or James Tedesco at fullback after Edwards was ruled out with injury.

Tedesco has joined the side after recently missing out on the original squad selection and losing his captaincy.

“We’ve not changed our preparation but we’ve definitely made sure we’re aware of Tedesco’s strengths,” Slater said.

“He’s a different type of player to Dylan Edwards.

“He’s equally as damaging, equally as influential in the footy team but has some subtleties in his game that we need to be aware of.”
