Cronulla Sharks legend Paul Gallen has confirmed he will fly to New York City with Sharks officials for a secretive meeting with an American billionaire as the club prepares a sponsorship package for the mysterious businessman.

Gallen, speakin on 2GB’s Wide World of Sports, revealed he will jump on a plane from Las Vegas after this weekend’s historic NRL double header and head to ‘The Big Apple’ alongside CEO Dino Mezzatesta and chairman Steve Mace.

“Dino Mezzatesta and Steve Mace, as far as I know, will be flying in a private jet from Las Vegas to New York… spending a couple of days in New York and will be meeting this particular person,” Gallen told the show.

“Hopefully trying to get some sponsorship – I don’t know whether they will or not.

“Apparently he’s got plenty of dollars and he’s a big Sharkies fan, lives over there in America, he’s involved in IT.”
